PEARL wins "Best of Show - Feature Film" from The Indie Fest!

PEARL - Film based on the life of Eula "Pearl" Carter Scott, a Chickasaw American Indian. She got her pilot's license at 13 and went on to become a barnstormer and aviation pioneer.  PEARL has been accepted into the following Film Festivals-so far:0): AFI Dallas, Oklahoma deadCenter Film Fest, Ireland International Film Fest, Cherokee Film Fest in Tulsa, Heartland Film Fest in Indianapolis (PEARL is nominated for a Crystal Heart Award) and in South Africa and Arkansas!

PEARL is an official selection at the Trail Dance Film Festival!  And nominated for: Best Feature Narrative, Best Native American Film, Best Oklahoma Film, Best Actress Elijah DeJesus.

The International Cherokee Film Festival was a wonderful festival with many amazing Native American films.  I was honored to receive the BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS AWARD!  PEARL also received the following Feature DocuDrama awards: Best Director - King Hollis, Best Actress - Elijah DeJesus, Best Actor - Tom Orr and Best Supporting Actress - Angela Gair

PEARL sold out ALL four screenings at the Heartland Film Festival. We had many PEARL cast member in attendance to represent the first film by the Chickasaw nation!  Those attending in attendance: David Rennke (Producer), King Hollis (Director), Tony Chote (PR), Elijah DeJesus (Pearl), Andrew Sensenig (George Carter), Angela Gair (Lucy Carter). The Q & A's were filled with many audiance members and the questions and comments were heartfelt. Many audiance members were in tears.  Thank you Heartland Film Festival!!!

About Me

This producer, actress believes in the motto: "Life is not a dress rehearsal!" Ironically the true meaning and impact of this little sentence didn't become crystal clear until a life changing event redirected Angela's life. In May 2000 she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer with a survival rate of 50%. Angela has always been a fighter, so she made a pact with herself that when she survived this cancer she would follow her childhood dream and become an actress. Today, Angela is not only an 9-year cancer survivor, but she kept her promise with numerous film/stage/commercial credits to her name. Angela is now venturing out she is currently writing a script and Executive Produced a music video for Deanne Moore - Cowboy Talkin.
